I had a Segway scooter a couple of years ago and it was loads of fun, but being almost 70, with a neurologic condition and facing a full knee replacement I thought I would be smart to sell it. What a tragedy. Ever since the knee got replaced I have been jealous of all those scooters I see zipping around. So I contacted Mac at ProMech to get a new scooter. He gave me some awesome advice and I ended up buying a VSett8. It is perfect for my needs. Super fast, love the turn signals and brake lights, good brakes, cruise control, dual suspension, and the list goes on. I ride from my place to UBC, maybe to Jericho and so it does not get mega use but I have put about 150km on it. It is definitely better than the Segway. The only thing I did not like was the way the handlebars were able to fold and then go straight again. So I used extra strong Locktite and don’t have to deal with a loosening bracket. I’d give this scooter a 9.8/10 and the Segway a 9/10. Plus Mac and Amir are fantastic guys to deal with. They know their stuff!
