The 36% grade and maximum-power figures are manufacturer ratings from controlled test conditions. Rider weight, battery level, temperature and surface conditions can reduce real-world performance.
56 km is a manufacturer-rated maximum. Speed, hills, temperature, rider weight, wind and tire pressure can all reduce real-world range.
Brakes need bedding in when new and checking after the first hundred kilometres. Whatever the specification says, an unbedded pad stops badly.
Avoid deep standing water, immersion and pressure washing, and make sure the charging area is dry before connecting power.
20.8 kg is still a substantial two-handed lift for many riders. If daily stairs or frequent transit transfers are part of the commute, test the folded scooter in person first.
The InMotion Climber is a dual-motor commuter designed specifically for hilly urban routes. It uses two 450W rated motors, each capable of up to 750W maximum output, for up to 1500W combined maximum power without the bulk of a large hyperscooter.
InMotion lists a top speed of about 23.7 mph (38 km/h) and a manufacturer-rated range of up to 35 miles (56 km). The 533Wh Samsung-cell battery is paired with an approximately 9-hour charge time using the standard 2A charger.
The Climber is rated for gradients up to 36% and weighs approximately 20.8 kg. It uses 10-inch pneumatic tires but does not have suspension, so riders prioritizing rough-road comfort should factor that into the decision. Braking combines electronic braking with a rear disc brake, and the body carries an IPX6 water-resistance rating.
