Why riders choose the InMotion Climber

InMotion Climber: Dual-Motor Electric Scooter Built for Hills

450W ×2 rated power, 1500W combined maximum output, a 533Wh battery, 36% grade capability and a relatively compact 20.8 kg chassis.

01 Motor

Dual-motor power built for steep climbs

The InMotion Climber uses two 450W rated motors, with each motor capable of up to 750W maximum output for 1500W combined maximum power. InMotion rates it for speeds up to about 38 km/h and grades up to 36%, giving the scooter a clear focus on hill-heavy urban routes.

  • 900 WCombined rated power
  • 1500 WCombined max power
  • 36%Max grade

The 36% grade and maximum-power figures are manufacturer ratings from controlled test conditions. Rider weight, battery level, temperature and surface conditions can reduce real-world performance.

02 Range

533Wh battery with up to 56 km claimed range

A 533Wh lithium battery using 21700 Samsung cells gives the Climber a manufacturer-rated range of up to 35 miles (about 56 km). Standard charging time is approximately 9 hours with the supplied 42V 2A charger.

  • 533 WhBattery capacity
  • 9 hoursCharge time

56 km is a manufacturer-rated maximum. Speed, hills, temperature, rider weight, wind and tire pressure can all reduce real-world range.

03 Ride feel

Disc and electronic braking with 10-inch pneumatic tires

The Climber pairs a mechanical disc brake with electronic braking and rides on 10-inch pneumatic tires. The scooter weighs about 20.8 kg and is rated for riders up to 130 kg, keeping the platform relatively manageable for a dual-motor commuter.

  • Disc + electronicBraking system
  • 10 inchesPneumatic tires
  • 20.8 kgNet weight

Brakes need bedding in when new and checking after the first hundred kilometres. Whatever the specification says, an unbedded pad stops badly.

04 In the rain

IPX6 body protection for everyday commuting

INMOTION’s current Climber specifications list IPX6 protection for the scooter body, helping with normal rain and road spray encountered during commuting. Water resistance is not waterproofing, so deep standing water and immersion should still be avoided.

  • IPX6Body water resistance
  • 10 inPneumatic tires

Avoid deep standing water, immersion and pressure washing, and make sure the charging area is dry before connecting power.

05 Folded

20.8 kg for a dual-motor commuter

At approximately 20.8 kg, the Climber is lighter than many larger dual-motor scooters and folds for storage or transport. InMotion rates the platform for a maximum rider load of 130 kg, so it offers useful carrying capacity without moving into heavyweight performance-scooter territory.

  • 20.8 kgNet weight
  • 130 kgMax rider load
  • 10 inchesTire size

20.8 kg is still a substantial two-handed lift for many riders. If daily stairs or frequent transit transfers are part of the commute, test the folded scooter in person first.

InMotion Climber Electric Scooter

The InMotion Climber is a dual-motor commuter designed specifically for hilly urban routes. It uses two 450W rated motors, each capable of up to 750W maximum output, for up to 1500W combined maximum power without the bulk of a large hyperscooter.

38 km/h speed and 56 km rated range

InMotion lists a top speed of about 23.7 mph (38 km/h) and a manufacturer-rated range of up to 35 miles (56 km). The 533Wh Samsung-cell battery is paired with an approximately 9-hour charge time using the standard 2A charger.

Built for hills, not suspension travel

The Climber is rated for gradients up to 36% and weighs approximately 20.8 kg. It uses 10-inch pneumatic tires but does not have suspension, so riders prioritizing rough-road comfort should factor that into the decision. Braking combines electronic braking with a rear disc brake, and the body carries an IPX6 water-resistance rating.

I drove all the way from Seattle to bring my daughter's scooter to ProMechBC and I could not be more pleased with both the repairs and the customer service. I will definitely be bringing the scooter North of the border when it needs some love.

Recently had an accident with my Apollo Go — luckily nothing major was damaged, but it still needed some repair and replacement parts. Service was great, and I got my scooter back within a week. :D
