Why riders choose the Falcon GT Electric Dirt

What makes it an electric dirt bike.

Every figure below is labelled with where it comes from, so a manufacturer’s claim never reads as a measurement.

01 Power

16.8kW peak power with 610 N·m of torque

The 79BIKE Falcon GT uses a high-efficiency mid-mounted motor with up to 16.8kW peak output and 610 N·m of manufacturer-rated torque. This high-output drivetrain is designed for rapid acceleration, steep climbs, and demanding off-road riding.

Torque figures are peak, measured at the motor. What reaches the road depends on your gear, your cadence and how much of the climb you are contributing — 610 N·m is a ceiling, not a promise.

02 Between charges

Up to 120 km claimed, and what that means

Up to 120 km claimed, 72V 40Ah. Charging takes 3-4 hours, and that is the figure that actually shapes your week — a pack you top up overnight without thinking about it beats a bigger one you have to plan around.

Every battery is a consumable, and how you treat it decides whether that means five years or two. Charging to full only when you need the full range, keeping it off the charger once it is there, and storing it indoors through winter are worth more to its lifespan than any figure on the spec sheet.

  • 3-4 hoursCharge time

Up to 120 km is the manufacturer's figure, measured on flat ground, in warm weather, with a light rider holding a steady low speed. Vancouver hills, winter temperatures and stop-start traffic all cost you range. We have not yet run our own road test on this one; when we do, the tested figure goes in the spec table beside the claim.

03 Control

220 mm hydraulic brakes and 19"/18" off-road wheels

The Falcon GT uses 220 mm hydraulic disc brakes front and rear, paired with a 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel setup designed for demanding off-road terrain. The larger wheels and hydraulic braking system help provide greater control across loose surfaces, descents, and higher-speed trail riding.

Actual braking performance depends on speed, rider weight, tire grip, terrain, weather, and brake condition.

  • 68.9 kgWeight

BC requires a standard e-bike to stop from 32 km/h within 9 m on clean, level pavement. That is a dry-surface test — assume noticeably longer in Vancouver rain, and leave the gap to prove it.

04 Fit

Sized for Seat Height: 820mm

Seat Height: 820mm, Black / Silver frame. Fit decides whether a bike is still being ridden in month three, and it is the one specification a photograph cannot tell you — reach, standover and saddle height interact, and two riders of the same height with different inseams want genuinely different setups. It weighs 68.9 kg, which is worth knowing before you commit if it has to come up a flight of stairs or onto a bus rack at the end of the ride.

Come and stand over it. Ten minutes with the saddle at the right height tells you more than any size chart, and it is the difference between a bike that disappears underneath you and one you are always slightly negotiating with.

  • Black / SilverFrame
  • 68.9 kgWeight

Height charts assume average proportions. Two riders at the same height with different inseams will want different setups, so treat any published range as a starting point and expect to move the saddle and bars.

05 Pedalling

Assist to 95 km/h, then it is you

Assist runs to 95 km/h. Past that the motor stops helping and the drivetrain is doing all of it, which is exactly when the gear range matters.

The drivetrain is what riders upgrade first and shop for last. Chain, cassette and pads are consumables on any bike and wear faster under assistance, so the practical question is not which groupset is fitted but how cheaply and quickly it can be serviced when it wears — which is a question about your shop, not your bike.

  • 95 km/hAssisted to
  • 610 N·mTorque

Pedal-assist levels are a controller setting, not a measurement. What one brand tunes into its middle level another spreads across two, so treat the count as a range of options rather than as a spec you can compare across bikes.

The 79BIKE Falcon GT Electric Dirt Bike is built for serious off-road riders who want extreme power, long range, and premium trail capability. It features a 16.8kW peak mid-drive motor, up to 610 N·m of torque, and a 72V 40Ah Samsung 50S lithium battery.

Built for Demanding Off-Road Riding

The Falcon GT combines 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, FASTACE suspension, and 220 mm hydraulic disc brakes front and rear to provide greater control on trails, loose terrain, climbs, and higher-speed off-road sections.

Its forged performance chassis, large digital display, and NFC unlocking system give the bike a premium, performance-focused setup designed for experienced riders.

Battery and Charging

I drove all the way from Seattle to bring my daughter's scooter to ProMechBC and I could not be more pleased with both the repairs and the customer service. I will definitely be bringing the scooter North of the border when it needs some love.
