The GBike PTP Dual Motor Electric Bike is a powerful fat-tire e-bike built for riders who want stronger acceleration, extra traction, and practical all-terrain capability. The current GBike configuration uses selectable front and rear Bafang hub motors, paired with a 48V 21Ah Samsung battery, and offers an estimated riding range of approximately 40–65 km depending on terrain, assist level, and riding conditions.

Its setup includes 26" × 4.0" Kenda/Chaoyang fat tires, Logan hydraulic disc brakes, an RST Guide suspension fork, Shimano 7-speed gearing, a colour display, and a suspension seatpost. The dual-motor system can be controlled by a handlebar switch, allowing riders to use additional traction and power when needed.

Every battery is a consumable, and how you treat it decides whether that means five years or two. Charging to full only when you need the full range, keeping it off the charger once it is there, and storing it indoors through winter are worth more to its lifespan than any figure on the spec sheet.

65 km is the manufacturer's figure, measured on flat ground, in warm weather, with a light rider holding a steady low speed. Vancouver hills, winter temperatures and stop-start traffic all cost you range. We have not yet run our own road test on this one; when we do, the tested figure goes in the spec table beside the claim.

03 Stopping

Logan Hydraulic Disc Brakes, 26" x 4" tyres. Stopping distance is set by the contact patch as much as by the caliper: hardware can only ask for as much grip as the tyre has to give, which is why both are quoted here rather than just the one that sounds impressive. Rated to 190.5 kg all in, that is the weight the brakes and the contact patch are being asked to arrest on a wet painted line.

04 Getting on

Fit decides whether a bike is still being ridden in month three, and it is the one specification a photograph cannot tell you — reach, standover and saddle height interact, and two riders of the same height with different inseams want genuinely different setups. 05 Assist

Assist to 32 km/h, then it is you

Gears: Shimano 7-Speed Gears. Gearing decides what the motor is asked to do: the right gear on a climb keeps you spinning and keeps the drive unit cool and efficient, and the wrong one grinds through your knees and your range at the same time. Assistance runs to 32 km/h; past that the motor stops helping and the drivetrain is doing all of it, which is exactly when the spread of gears starts to matter.

Gearing decides what the motor is asked to do. The right gear on a climb keeps you spinning and keeps the drive unit in its efficient band, where it runs cooler and draws less; the wrong one grinds through both your knees and your range. A usable spread of gears is worth more than an extra sprocket you never select.

GBike PTP Dual Motor Fat Tire Electric Bike

The GBike PTP Dual Motor Electric Bike is designed for riders who want more traction and stronger electric assistance than a conventional single-motor fat-tire e-bike. Its dual-hub-motor layout makes it well suited to hills, loose surfaces, gravel, and mixed urban or recreational riding.

Selectable Dual Bafang Motor System

GBike equips the PTP Dual Motor with Bafang hub motors at both the front and rear wheels. The motors can be selected using a handlebar-mounted thumb switch, allowing the rider to engage the additional motor when more traction or acceleration is required.

GBike's current product documentation contains conflicting combined motor-output figures, so it is more accurate to describe the bike by its dual Bafang motor configuration rather than publish an uncertain combined wattage figure.

48V 21Ah Samsung Battery

The dual-motor version receives an upgraded 48V 21Ah Samsung lithium-ion battery, giving it approximately 1008Wh of battery capacity.

GBike lists an estimated range of approximately 40–65 km, depending on terrain, rider weight, pedalling effort, motor use, temperature, and other riding conditions. Typical charging time is listed at approximately 5–7 hours.
