A gradient rating is measured with a light rider on dry ground. Loaded, wet, or with a low battery, treat 20% as optimistic.
Up to 30 km is the manufacturer's figure, measured on flat ground, in warm weather, with a light rider holding a steady low speed. Vancouver hills, winter temperatures and stop-start traffic all cost you range. We have not yet run our own road test on this one; when we do, the tested figure goes in the spec table beside the claim.
Brakes need bedding in when new and checking after the first hundred kilometres. Whatever the specification says, an unbedded pad stops badly.
Integrated lighting improves visibility, but wet-weather use should always remain conservative. Avoid immersion, deep standing water, and pressure washing around electrical components.
Fifteen kilograms is manageable for many riders, but repeated stair carrying still depends on rider strength and the shape of the route.

The NEON Lite uses 9-inch tubeless tires with a front electronic brake and rear disc brake. At approximately 15 kg, it is substantially easier to move and store than most long-range or performance scooters.
It suits beginners, students, and city commuters who prioritize portability and smart features over steep-hill performance or very long range.
