The Rize City Electric Bike is a step-through urban commuter e-bike designed for comfortable daily transportation, errands, and longer city rides. The current Canadian model uses a 500W Bafang rear hub motor with 65 N·m of torque, paired with a 48V 15Ah Samsung battery (720Wh) and a manufacturer-rated range of up to 80 km on the standard battery.

An optional dual-battery configuration increases total capacity to 48V 30Ah / 1440Wh and extends the manufacturer-rated range to up to 160 km. The Rize City also features a torque-sensor pedal assist system, SR Suntour front suspension, Tektro hydraulic disc brakes, Shimano Acera 7-speed gearing, puncture-resistant Kenda tires, a thumb throttle, adjustable swept-back handlebars, and a rear cargo rack.

Assistance runs to 32km/h/ 40km/h; past that the motor stops helping and the drivetrain is doing all of it, which is exactly when the spread of gears starts to matter.

Gearing decides what the motor is asked to do. The right gear on a climb keeps you spinning and keeps the drive unit in its efficient band, where it runs cooler and draws less; the wrong one grinds through both your knees and your range. A usable spread of gears is worth more than an extra sprocket you never select.

500W Bafang Motor and Samsung Battery

The current Canadian Rize City is powered by a 500W Bafang motor producing 65 N·m of torque. A torque-sensor pedal assist system measures how much force the rider applies to the pedals and adjusts motor support accordingly for a more natural riding feel.

The standard 48V 15Ah Samsung 21700-cell battery provides 720Wh of capacity and a manufacturer-rated range of up to 80 km.

For longer rides, the optional dual-battery system increases total capacity to 48V 30Ah / 1440Wh and extends the listed maximum range to up to 160 km. Actual range varies with rider weight, terrain, assist level, throttle use, temperature, and riding conditions.
