The Rize X Electric Bike is a high-performance all-terrain fat-tire e-bike built for riders who want strong motor output, long-range capability, and stable handling across pavement, gravel, trails, and rougher surfaces. The current 2026 Canadian model features a 1000W Bafang motor with 95 N·m of torque, a 52V 20Ah Samsung battery (1040Wh), and a manufacturer-rated range of up to 105 km on the standard battery.

An optional dual-battery configuration increases total capacity to 52V 35Ah / 1820Wh and extends the manufacturer-rated range to up to 185 km. Other key features include 26" × 4" Kenda fat tires with K-Shield puncture resistance, Tektro hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm rotors, a torque-sensor pedal assist system, Shimano Alivio 9-speed drivetrain, front suspension with lockout, integrated turn signals, and a 3.2" colour LCD display.

01 Motor

02 Range

How far, honestly

Up to 80km or 160km with Dual Battery claimed, Extended Range Dual-Battery 52v 30Ah or Standard Single-Battery. Charging takes 5 Hours, and that is the figure that actually shapes your week — a pack you top up overnight without thinking about it beats a bigger one you have to plan around.

Every battery is a consumable, and how you treat it decides whether that means five years or two. Charging to full only when you need the full range, keeping it off the charger once it is there, and storing it indoors through winter are worth more to its lifespan than any figure on the spec sheet.

03 Control

Tektro Hydraulic Disc 180mm, 26" x 4" tyres. Stopping distance is set by the contact patch as much as by the caliper: hardware can only ask for as much grip as the tyre has to give, which is why both are quoted here rather than just the one that sounds impressive. Rated to 136.1 kg all in, that is the weight the brakes and the contact patch are being asked to arrest on a wet painted line.

An e-bike carries far more mass and speed than the bicycle it is descended from, and the brakes are the component most often carried over unchanged. Consistent lever feel at the bottom of a long descent — no fade, no wandering bite point — is what you are paying for, and it is invisible until the one time you need it.

04 Fit

6061 Aluminum Alloy frame, and what it means

Applicable Height: 5'8" - 6'4", 6061 Aluminum Alloy frame. Fit decides whether a bike is still being ridden in month three, and it is the one specification a photograph cannot tell you — reach, standover and saddle height interact, and two riders of the same height with different inseams want genuinely different setups. It weighs 37.2 kg, which is worth knowing before you commit if it has to come up a flight of stairs or onto a bus rack at the end of the ride.

The frame is the one part you cannot upgrade later. Everything bolted to it can be changed as it wears or as your taste changes, which is why the material, the geometry and the honesty of the joins are worth more attention than the components hanging off them.

Gearing decides what the motor is asked to do: the right gear on a climb keeps you spinning and keeps the drive unit cool and efficient, and the wrong one grinds through your knees and your range at the same time. Assistance runs to 32km/h/ 40km/h; past that the motor stops helping and the drivetrain is doing all of it, which is exactly when the spread of gears starts to matter.

Gearing decides what the motor is asked to do. The right gear on a climb keeps you spinning and keeps the drive unit in its efficient band, where it runs cooler and draws less; the wrong one grinds through both your knees and your range. A usable spread of gears is worth more than an extra sprocket you never select.

Pedal-assist levels are a controller setting, not a measurement. What one brand tunes into its middle level another spreads across two, so treat the count as a range of options rather than as a spec you can compare across bikes.

Rize X All-Terrain Fat Tire Electric Bike

The Rize X Electric Bike is designed for riders who want powerful electric assistance, long-distance capability, and the stability of a full-size fat-tire platform.

For the current 2026 Canadian configuration, Rize uses a 1000W Bafang motor producing 95 N·m of torque. The bike is intended for high-performance and off-road riding, with a configurable top speed of up to 50 km/h when unlocked. Local regulations should always be checked before using higher-power settings on public roads.

52V Samsung Battery and Extended Range

The standard Rize X uses a 52V 20Ah Samsung 21700-cell battery, providing approximately 1040Wh of capacity and a manufacturer-rated range of up to 105 km.

Riders who need more range can choose the optional dual-battery system, which increases total capacity to 52V 35Ah / 1820Wh and extends the manufacturer-rated range to up to 185 km.

Actual range varies with rider weight, terrain, assist level, throttle use, temperature, and riding conditions.

Fat Tires, Suspension and Hydraulic Brakes

The Rize X rides on 26" × 4" Kenda tires with K-Shield puncture resistance, providing added traction and stability on gravel, rough pavement, loose surfaces, and mixed terrain.
