Why riders choose the Navee G5

NAVEE G5: Dual-Suspension Smart Commuter Scooter

400W rated / 800W max power, up to 45 km rated range, 10-inch tubeless tires, dual suspension, TCS, Apple Find My and NAVEE App connectivity.

01 Motor performance

400W rated, 800W maximum power

The NAVEE G5 uses a 400W rated rear motor with up to 800W maximum power. NAVEE lists a top speed of up to 32 km/h for the US version and a maximum climbing grade of 18%.

This is commuter-focused performance rather than aggressive acceleration: enough for normal city riding and moderate grades while keeping the scooter lighter and simpler than higher-output models.

  • 400 WRated power
  • 800 WMaximum power
  • 18%Max gradient

Top speed and climbing figures are manufacturer ratings. Rider weight, battery level, temperature, traction, and gradient length can reduce real-world performance.

02 Between charges

Up to 45 km from a 275.4Wh battery

The 36V 275.4Wh battery is rated for up to 45 km at 15 km/h, with NAVEE also listing approximately 37 km at 20 km/h and 29 km at 25 km/h under its test conditions. Standard charging time is approximately 6 hours.

Range falls as speed, rider weight, hills, wind, cold, and repeated acceleration increase. For daily use, plan around the faster-speed figures rather than the best-case headline number.

  • 275.4 WhBattery capacity
  • 45 kmClaimed range
  • Approx. 6 hrCharge time

The 45 km figure is a manufacturer rating measured at low speed under controlled conditions. Vancouver hills, cold weather, stop-start traffic, and higher speeds reduce actual range.

03 Ride system

Comfort and control for city streets

A front drum brake and rear EABS electronic brake provide predictable, relatively low-maintenance stopping. The 10-inch tubeless tires add cushioning and grip without an inner tube, while Traction Control System technology helps manage wheel slip on lower-traction surfaces.

Front fork suspension and NAVEE’s rear Damping Arm suspension work together to reduce vibration and impacts from cracked pavement, road joints, and other common urban imperfections.

  • Front drum + rear EABSBraking system
  • 10-inchTubeless tires
  • Front + rearSuspension

TCS and suspension can improve control, but they do not replace conservative speed, proper tire pressure, or extra braking distance on wet and contaminated surfaces.

04 Wet-weather readiness

IPX5 protection and integrated visibility

The G5 carries an IPX5 water-resistance rating and includes a 4W front light, rear lighting, and integrated turn signals. These features improve visibility and communication during everyday urban riding.

IPX5 is useful protection against rain and road spray, not a waterproof guarantee. Avoid deep standing water, submersion, and pressure washing, and dry the scooter after wet rides.

  • IPX5Water resistance
  • 4 WFront light
  • IntegratedTurn signals

Water-resistance ratings are tested under controlled conditions. They do not cover immersion, deep puddles, pressure washing, or damage from long-term water exposure.

05 Storage and carrying

20.9 kg with a practical folding format

At approximately 20.9 kg, the G5 is lighter than the G5 Pro and G5 Max while still supporting riders up to 120 kg. Its folded dimensions are approximately 1138 × 570 × 544 mm.

It fits more easily into a vehicle or indoor storage area than many larger scooters, but 20.9 kg is still a two-handed lift for most riders. Anyone carrying it up stairs every day should test the weight in person first.

  • 20.9 kgProduct weight
  • 120 kgMax rider load
  • 1138 × 570 × 544 mmFolded size

A folding stem reduces storage size, not lifting weight. Check the latch regularly for play and confirm the scooter is practical for your stairs, vehicle, or storage space.

Le Navee G5 offre une conduite fluide et connectée avec 800 W de puissance, une vitesse de pointe de 32 km/h et une autonomie de 45 km, ainsi qu'Apple Find My, une double suspension, un écran LED intelligent et un éclairage automatique.

I'm so excited to write this because I literally just got my NAVEE G5 yesterday and I've already taken it on three rides around my neighborhood because I just can't stop! I was really nervous about buying an electric scooter because I'm in my fifties and I thought maybe I was too old for this kind of thing, but my son convinced me that it would be fun and practical for getting around our small town. And he was absolutely right! I was terrified the first time I stepped on it, but the scooter is so stable and the acceleration is so gentle that I felt comfortable within about 10 minutes. I've been using it to go to the grocery store and the pharmacy, and it's honestly been life-changing. I used to drive my car for these tiny trips that are only 2 or 3 kilometers away, and I was always complaining about gas prices and parking, but now I just hop on the scooter and I'm there in a few minutes. The basket option would be nice but honestly, I just use a backpack and it works perfectly. I love that it folds up so easily because I can just keep it in the trunk of my car if I need to drive somewhere and then use it for the last mile. The battery life seems really good so far – I've done about 12 kilometers total and the battery is still showing three bars out of five, so I think I'll only need to charge it once or twice a week. The bright headlight is wonderful because I worry about being seen by cars, and the bell is really handy for letting people know I'm coming on the sidewalk. I know some people might think I'm silly for being this excited about a scooter, but honestly, it's given me so much freedom and it's so much fun! If you're older and you're worried about whether you can handle one of these, I just want to say that if I can do it, anyone can. This is genuinely one of the best purchases I've made in years!

Thank you so much for sharing your story, Patricia! Reading reviews like yours genuinely makes our day. We're so happy to hear the NAVEE G5 helped you feel comfortable and confident so quickly. It's wonderful that it's already making everyday trips easier and more enjoyable for you. We truly appreciate you choosing ProMechBC and taking the time to write such a thoughtful review. Wishing you many safe, fun, and carefree rides ahead! 😊🛴

Hi, I'm a beginner. Is this scooter good for going to university? My route is 4 km. Also, 6-7 hours charging seems long – can it charge faster? I don't need 32 km/h, can I limit the speed to save battery? Please answer so I can decide whether to buy. Thanks for the great website!

Hi Natalie! Thanks for your question. 😊 The NAVEE G5 is a great choice for a 4 km university commute. It has a comfortable ride, is easy to handle for beginners, and you'll only need to charge it every few days with that kind of distance. The standard charger takes around 6–7 hours, which is normal for this battery size. Riding in a lower speed mode can also help extend your range, so if top speed isn't important to you, that's a great option. If you have any other questions, we're always happy to help!

Hi, I'm a vendor and travel 30 km daily. Is the 45 km range really enough for me? If the battery dies, I'd have to drag 18 kg – that's tough. Does the display show battery percentage precisely or just bars? I don't know English, is the app available in other languages? Also, with 110 kg total (me + cargo), will it still run? Please respond.

Hi Brian! Thanks for reaching out. A 30 km daily commute is generally within the G5's range under normal riding conditions, although factors like rider weight, terrain, weather, and riding style can affect the actual distance. The scooter is designed to support riders up to 120 kg, so a combined weight of around 110 kg is within its recommended capacity. As for the display and app, battery information is available through the NAVEE app, and app language availability depends on your device's language settings. If you have any other questions before purchasing, feel free to ask—we'd be happy to help!

As an engineer, I'm impressed with the BMS and regenerative braking. On a 35 km route with my 80 kg weight, I got about 38 km range – close to the claimed 45 km. Just wish it had rear suspension too. One question: can I upgrade to a larger battery later or is it hardware-limited? This matters for future upgrades.

Thank you for your thoughtful review, Alex! We're glad to hear you're enjoying the engineering behind the G5, especially the BMS and regenerative braking. Regarding the battery, it's not officially designed to be upgraded to a larger capacity, as the battery, controller, and BMS are all matched to work together. For safety and reliability, we recommend keeping the original configuration. Thanks again for sharing your experience, and enjoy the ride!

Really happy with the G5! I commute 12 km daily, and the front suspension with 10-inch tires gives a super smooth ride. The rear-wheel motor handles inclines perfectly too. The app shows battery status accurately. Just one technical question: the specs say 400W rated but the description says 350W! Admin, please clarify which one is correct?

Thank you for sharing your experience, Alex! We're glad to hear the G5 is delivering the kind of range you expected. As for upgrading to a larger battery in the future, it's not something officially supported by the manufacturer, as the battery, BMS, and controller are designed to work together as a system. We generally recommend sticking with the original configuration for safety and reliability. Thanks again for your thoughtful feedback!

I drove all the way from Seattle to bring my daughter's scooter to ProMechBC and I could not be more pleased with both the repairs and the customer service. I will definitely be bringing the scooter North of the border when it needs some love.
