Why riders choose the Dualtron New Achilleus

Dualtron New Achilleus: 4650W Peak, 120 km Range & Adjustable Suspension

Every figure below is labelled with where it comes from, so a manufacturer’s claim never reads as a measurement.

01 Motor performance

Dual 2325W peak motors with up to 80 km/h private-terrain speed

Dualtron lists two motors rated at up to 2325W peak each, or approximately 4650W combined peak output. The current New Achilleus specification lists an unlocked maximum speed of up to 80 km/h for appropriate private-terrain use and gradeability around 30°.

The 60V platform provides substantial acceleration and hill reserve while remaining below the size and output of Dualtron’s heaviest flagship models.

  • 2325 W × 2Peak motor output
  • 80 km/hUnlocked private-terrain speed
  • 30°Max gradient

Speed and gradient figures are manufacturer ratings. Rider weight, battery level, temperature, traction, and hill length can reduce real-world performance.

02 Between charges

60V 35Ah battery with up to 120 km claimed range

The 60V 35Ah battery provides about 2.1kWh of nominal capacity. Dualtron lists up to 120 km of maximum range under favourable test conditions.

High speed, dual-motor use, hills, cold weather, rider weight, wind, and repeated acceleration can reduce range substantially.

  • 60V 35AhLG battery
  • Up to 120 kmClaimed max range
  • 20 / 10 / 4 hrApprox. charge time

The 120 km figure is a manufacturer maximum-range rating. Real-world distance is lower at high speed, on hills, in winter, and with frequent dual-motor acceleration.

03 Ride control

NUTT hydraulic brakes with adjustable cartridge suspension

Front and rear NUTT hydraulic disc brakes use 160 mm rotors with magnetic or electronic braking assistance for progressive stopping on a 40 kg performance platform.

Eleven-inch tubeless tires work with Dualtron’s multi-step adjustable rubber-cartridge suspension, allowing the ride to be tuned through different settings and cartridge stiffness options.

  • NUTT hydraulic160 mm brakes
  • 11-inchTubeless tires
  • 45-stepSuspension adjustment

Hydraulic brakes require inspection and eventual bleeding. Tire pressure, brake condition, and suspension setup should be checked regularly on a high-performance scooter.

04 Lighting

30W headlight with integrated RGB visibility

A 30W front headlight improves forward illumination, while RGB lighting across the suspension arms, deck, and steering column increases the scooter’s visual presence after dark.

The redesigned rear footrest integrates tail and brake lighting. No verified whole-scooter IP rating is listed in the current specification table, so wet-weather riding should remain conservative.

  • IntegratedTail and brake light
  • RGBAccent lighting

No whole-scooter IP rating is stated in the current product specifications. Avoid heavy rain, standing water, immersion, and pressure washing.

05 Storage and weight

40.2 kg with a folding performance chassis

The New Achilleus weighs approximately 40.2 kg, supports riders up to 120 kg, and folds to about 125 × 27.5 × 56 cm.

The folding stem reduces storage length, but this is not a carry scooter. Ground-level storage is preferable, although the Achilleus remains more manageable than Dualtron flagships approaching 50–80 kg.

  • 40.2 kgProduct weight
  • 120 kgMax rider load
  • 125 × 27.5 × 56 cmFolded size

Folding reduces storage size, not lifting weight. Ground-level storage is strongly recommended for a 40.2 kg scooter.

Dualtron New Achilleus Electric Scooter

The Dualtron New Achilleus is a high-performance dual-motor scooter built around a 60V 35Ah battery and dual motors rated at up to 2325W peak each, or approximately 4650W combined peak output. Dualtron lists up to 80 km/h in an unlocked private-terrain configuration and up to 120 km of maximum range under favourable conditions.

Dual 2325W Peak Motors and 60V 35Ah Battery

The 60V platform delivers substantial acceleration and hill-climbing reserve without moving into the size and weight of Dualtron’s largest flagship models. Speed and range vary with rider weight, battery level, temperature, terrain, wind, and riding style.

NUTT Hydraulic Brakes and Adjustable Suspension

Front and rear NUTT hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm rotors work with 11-inch tubeless tires and Dualtron’s adjustable rubber-cartridge suspension. This combination gives the Achilleus a strong balance of braking control, ride tuning, and road stability.

EY4 Display and Dualtron App

The EY4 display adds Bluetooth connectivity and supported app-based settings, diagnostics, and ride information. A wider cockpit and updated steering assembly further improve control on a performance-focused chassis.

New Achilleus vs. Storm LTD

The Dualtron New Storm LTD adds an 84V system, much more motor output, and considerably more weight. The Achilleus remains the more manageable choice for riders who want serious Dualtron performance without the scale of the flagship models.

I drove all the way from Seattle to bring my daughter's scooter to ProMechBC and I could not be more pleased with both the repairs and the customer service. I will definitely be bringing the scooter North of the border when it needs some love.

Recently had an accident with my Apollo Go — luckily nothing major was damaged, but it still needed some repair and replacement parts. Service was great, and I got my scooter back within a week. :D
