The Heybike Mars 3.0 is a folding fat-tire e-bike built around a 750W rear hub motor with up to 1400W peak output and 95 N·m of torque. Its 624Wh removable battery is rated for up to 65 miles under manufacturer test conditions, while 20 × 4-inch tires and full suspension make it better suited to mixed surfaces than a lightweight city bike.
A quick-fold frame helps reduce its storage footprint, and hydraulic disc brakes, a Shimano Altus 8-speed drivetrain, torque-sensor pedal assist, NFC startup and a colour TFT display give the Mars 3.0 a more complete everyday package than basic folding e-bikes.
The Mars 3.0 is the comfort-and-traction choice in this part of the Heybike range. The Heybike Venus is substantially lighter and more commuter-focused, while the Heybike Ranger S offers a compact step-through folding design in two motor configurations.
Choose the Mars 3.0 if you want a folding e-bike with fat-tire stability, full suspension and strong cargo capacity. Heybike lists a maximum combined load of 440 lb, but the bike itself weighs about 70 lb, so the folding mechanism is most useful for storage rather than frequent carrying. Claimed range varies substantially with assist level, throttle use, rider weight, hills and weather.
