What does your commute look like?
Range, weight and where you park it matter more than top speed. Pick the one that sounds like your term.
Short campus hops
Under 10 km each way, mostly flat, and it has to fold small enough to go under a lecture-hall seat.
See light e-scootersCross-town runs
UBC or SFU from the east side, hills both ways, and you would rather not arrive soaked in sweat.
See e-bikesAll-day, no charger
Early lecture, late shift, and nowhere to plug in between. You want the battery to outlast the day.
See long-range rides5% off, ready for term one
Every ride below is checked, charged and road-tested before it leaves the shop.
Nothing is tagged back-to-school yet.
Add that tag to the products you want in the promotion — Products → select → Add tags — and they appear here automatically. Check that the “Scan collection” setting covers them, too.
How the 5% comes off
It is an automatic discount, so there is nothing to remember and nothing to type. Product pages show the regular price — the saving lands the moment the ride is in your cart.

Pick your ride
Anything in the grid above is in the promotion — e-scooters, e-bikes and the gear that goes with them.
-
Add it to your cart
The product page shows the regular price. Open the cart and the 5% is already taken off, itemised on its own line.
-
Pick it up or get it shipped
Free local pickup in Vancouver, or BC-wide shipping. Either way it is safety-checked and charged before it leaves us.
Discount applies to tagged products only, while the promotion runs. It cannot be combined with other discount codes, and does not apply to service bookings, gift cards or shipping. Taxes and shipping are calculated at checkout.
Student questions, answered
The things people ask us at the counter in September.
Neither. The 5% is an automatic discount on the tagged products, so it comes off in your cart with nothing to enter and nothing to prove.
Yes. Automatic discounts are applied at the cart, not on the product page, so the saving appears once the item is in your cart and again at checkout. The prices on this page already show the discounted amount.
Vancouver is part of British Columbia's electric kick scooter pilot, which allows scooters capped at 24 km/h on most streets, bike lanes and paths — with a helmet, and one rider at a time. Rules differ by municipality, so check the bylaw where you actually ride. We will tell you honestly which machines are pilot-legal as sold.
Most commuter e-scooters fold to roughly the size of a hockey bag and stand in a closet. E-bikes need a bike room or a wall hook. Bring your measurements and we will check the folded dimensions with you before you commit.
Rain is manageable with the right tyres, fenders and lights, and we will set those up with you. Cold cuts battery range, so plan for less distance between charges from November onward, and store the pack indoors.
Bring it to the shop at 1199 Grant St. We diagnose before we replace anything, we stock the common wear parts for the brands we sell, and most repairs are back with you within one business day.
Back to School
Why students in Vancouver ride electric
A U-Pass gets you onto the bus. It does not get you a seat on the 99 B-Line at 8:40am, and it does not shorten the walk from the stop to the lecture hall. An e-scooter or e-bike turns an unpredictable 40-minute commute into a predictable 15-minute one, door to door, for about the cost of a term of parking.
The trade-offs worth thinking about before you buy are range in the cold, weight if you carry it up stairs, and where it lives overnight. We would rather talk you into the right machine than the expensive one — bring us your actual route and we will tell you what it needs.
What the back-to-school offer covers
Selected e-scooters, e-bikes and accessories carry 5% off for the start of term. The discount is automatic: it comes off in your cart, with no code to enter and no student ID to show. Product pages still display the regular price, which is how Shopify handles automatic discounts — the saving appears as its own line the moment the item is in your cart.
Everything we sell is assembled, safety-checked and charged in our workshop at 1199 Grant St. before you collect it, and it comes back to the same workshop if anything goes wrong during term.
Come and try it on Grant Street
Bring your route, your bag and your hill. We will put you on two or three machines, tell you which one actually suits the commute, and set it up before you take it away.
